Transcription: Understanding how Finale works using Finale's tools. This is the main tool palette. In it are 32 tools. Each tool has a variety of functions except for one, the Measure tool. Its sole purpose is to add measures to your score. Simply double-click on the tool icon and a dialog box appears asking how many measures we'd want to add. We type in a number and click OK. We've just added 24 measures to our score. Notice that when you select a tool, the message bar tells you what the tool is called and a brief description of what the tool does.
